Financial Gifts
Volunteer blood donors are the heart of Coffee Memorial Blood Center, and we are deeply grateful for their life-saving gifts. A single blood donation can save as many as three lives. However, we realize that not everyone is able to give blood, and we are all limited by the number of times we can donate.

Coffee Memorial Blood Center is dedicated to continuous improvement in blood banking, displaying that commitment by examining best practices in applied research, innovative educational methods and outstanding clinical practice. By engaging in these pursuits, we provide important and significant contributions to the body of medical and scientific knowledge, as well as to the understanding and practice of transfusion medicine.

Financial contributions are used to support three primary areas to enhance our services. All of these play a vital role in collecting, testing and distributing the life-saving gift that benefits thousands of patients each year:

Improved equipment and reliable transport vehicles.
With a nearly 40,000 square mile service area, CMBC must maintain dependable
equipment and vehicles to collect and deliver life-saving blood and blood products.

Support of blood center operations to serve its 30-county service area.
As the only blood center for the area, it is crucial that CMBC maintains a stable operation.

Education and Public awareness programs
The need for blood is constant, as is the diligence that is required to educate current and future blood donors about the importance of blood donation. Through use of promotional materials, displays and other means, a positive message is conveyed that donated blood saves patient lives.

Coffee Memorial Blood Center is a nonprofit IRS tax-exempt organization dedicated to providing live-saving blood products and transfusion services to patients throughout the High Plains Region.
